Senior center Dan Gadzuric (Den Haag, Holland/Governor Dummer Academy) of the UCLA Men's Basketball Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 11-17.
Gadzuric led the Bruins to their fifth Sweet 16 appearance in six years, capturing victories over Mississippi in the NCAA first round (80-58) and top-seeded Cincinnati (105-101 in double overtime).
Against Cincinnati, Gadzuric scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the year as the Bruins rallied to claim the victory. Gadzuric played in a career-high 45 minutes against the Bearcats. Against Ole Miss in the first round, he contributed nine points, six rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes.
This is Gadzuric's second UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and the third of his career.
