No. 1 Men's Tennis Opens Up Pac-12 Play on Friday

LOS ANGELES - The top-ranked UCLA men's tennis team opens up play at the Pac-12 Championships on Friday, taking on No. 4 Stanford at Noon at Ojai's Libbey Park.

By virtue of being the tournament's top seed, UCLA advanced straight to the semifinals and has yet to play a match. Stanford, however, needed to beat Washington (4-2) in Thursday's quarterfinals to advance to Friday.
The Bruins and Cardinal have met twice this season, with UCLA winning both matches. UCLA beat Stanford, 7-0 in Los Angeles on Feb. 8 and then posted a 5-2 win over the Cardinal in Stanford, Calif. on March 30.
In the other half of the draw, No. 2 USC and No. 3 Cal play on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
Saturday's championship match is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m.
