UCLA Baseball to Host Summer Baseball Camps

Los Angeles, Calif. - The UCLA baseball program will be offering summer baseball camps this summer at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Bruins will be hosting a Junior High School camp along with six youth day camps and a High School Showcase.
There will be six different youth camps on the following dates: July 8-11, July 15-18, July 22-25, July 29-August 1, August 5-8 and August 12-15. Youth camps are for boys and girls ages 6-12 and cost $340 per camper. Daily camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and after-camp hitting is available from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for an additional $125/week or $40/day. The Youth Day camp will be run by UCLA assistant coach Jake Silverman and features a fun and positive approach, appropriate for players of all ability levels. With a ratio of one coach to approximately 8-10 campers, every camper will receive the instruction necessary to help realize his/her full potential.
The Junior High camp will also be led Silverman and will feature current and former UCLA Baseball team members. Like the Youth camp, the Junior High camp runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will feature after-camp hitting for an additional cost of $40/day. The camp will take place at Jackie Robinson Stadium from July 1-3 for boys entering grades 7-9 and will build on the fundamentals taught in the Youth camp, offering a more competitive session for older children.
The High School Showcase offers players the opportunity for a true Bruin baseball experience. This camp will feature hands-on instruction from the UCLA coaching staff and offers the opportunity to compete against other top high school players from across the country. Instruction will include detailed hitting and pitching mechanics, as well as for defensive positions and baserunning. The camp will be led by head coach John Savage and features the entire UCLA coaching staff. The High School Showcase will take place from July 13-14 for boys entering grades 10-12 and will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on those days. The cost is $375 per camper.
