Men's VB wins 3 of 4 Matches

The UCLA men's volleyball swept to three wins at the USC Preseason Tournament on Saturday. The Bruins posted straight set victories over MPSF opponents Cal State Northridge, USC and Cal Baptist before dropping a three-setter to Concordia in the final match of the day.
UCLA opened tournament play with a 26-24, 25-20 win over CSUN. The Bruins then earned a 25-21, 25-19 (18-16 in extra set) win over USC on the main court at the Galen Center. John Speraw's squad then dropped Cal Baptist 25-22, 25-13 in the first afternoon match. Concordia topped the Bruins in the last match of the day, in a three-set contest, by the scores of 25-19, 24-26, 15-10.
The Bruins will continue off-season workouts in preparation for the UCLA Fall Tournament which will be played on Nov. 20-21 in the SAC Gym on campus. The regular season begins in January with USC serving as the opposition in the home opener on the 23rd in Pauley Pavilion.
