No. 2 Bruins Host No. 3 Trojans in MPSF Showdown Saturday

The Bruins (20-2, 4-1) were ranked No. 1 in the nation for several weeks until falling on the road last weekend to top-ranked Stanford, 8-7.
The Trojans (21-2, 4-1) have been ranked third nationally most of the season. Their two losses have come to the Bruins in February and to the Cardinal in a league match on Mar. 8.
UCLA leads the series 45-21 and has won three straight against its cross-town rival. In their 5-3 victory against the Trojans on Feb. 22, the Bruins held their opponent to a season low in goals scored for a game. The Trojans currently lead the conference at 17.6 goals scored per game.
Saturday’s game also marks the final home game for six Bruin players: senior Sami Hill, Emily Donohoe, Danielle Ferraro, Shelby Couture, Erica Beebe and Brailey Hirose-Hulbert. They will be honored along with members of the team’s support staff in ceremonies before the game.
