UCLA Selected for San Antonio NCAA Women?s Golf Regional, May 7-9

The Bruins will be making their 21st regional appearance. Under Hall of Fame Coach Carrie Forsyth, they’ve captured eight regional championships and have recorded five other podium results. Forsyth has guided the Bruins to a school record 14 consecutive NCAA appearances.
Format for the regional championship will be 54 holes of stroke play. The top six teams from each of the four regional sites will advance to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, FL, May 22-27. In addition, three individuals not affiliated with the top six teams, will also advance from each regional site.
UCLA won an 18-hole qualifying round to secure the top seed in the match play bracket at the Liz Murphey Classic in March for its only team tournament title this season. The Bruins have also recorded four other podium finishes.
Two players have won three individual crowns. Sophomore Bronte Law won the Stanford Intercollegiate in the fall and the Regional Challenge in February. Senior Erynne Lee won the Bruin Wave Invitational in March. Last week, Law was ranked third nationally and Lee was ranked 17th.
