Brandon Brooks Named 2015 MPSF Coach of the Year

UCLA Head Coach Brandon Brooks guided the Bruins to a conference-high 10th MPSF Championship this year (including three with Brooks as head coach), as well as an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Entering NCAA’s, Brooks is 150-33 (.820) in his six years, including 24-2 this year (.923). UCLA is also 7-1 against teams who reached the MPSF Semifinals. Sami Hill, who ranks in the MPSF’s top-five all-time in saves, carries a conference-best 4.73 goals-against average. UCLA has allowed just 4.85 goals per game in 2015. This is Brooks’ second MPSF Coach of the Year honor (2012), while it is the fourth straight year the Bruins have taken home a major award (2014-Hill, POY; 2013-Rachel Fattal, NOY; 2012-Brooks, COY).
Fattal and Sami Hill were named to the 2015 first-team; senior Emily Donohoe and junior Kodi Hill were selected to the second-team; junior Alys Williams was named to the third-team and freshmen Devin Grab and Alexis Angermund received All-Newcomer Team mention.
