Monique Billings Named to Athletes In Action Traveling Team
LOS ANGELES – Athletes In Action has announced that freshman forward Monique Billings will travel to Poland this summer (June 17-26) to play against the women's national teams of France, Poland and Latvia.
Billings will be on a team that will feature 11 women's basketball players from across the country and is one of four forwards on the roster and the only player from the Pac-12 on this particular mission.
There are two other AIA women's teams traveling this summer. The first is headed to Central Asia (May 17 - June 2) and the other is visiting the Middle East (May 24 - June 12).
The Pac-12 Honorable Mention All-Freshman Team member averaged 5.8 points per game for the WNIT Champions in 2014-15 and was second on the squad in rebounding at 5.0 rebounds per game. Billings also finished second on the team in blocks (50, 1.4 bpg) and was third in steals (38, 1.0 spg).
