Kylee Perez Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Perez has been a tough out during her initial collegiate season, and this weekend at #23 Arizona State was no different, as she produced nine hits in 11 at-bats for an .818 batting average with a double and a solo home run.
Perez had three multiple-hit games, starting the series on Thursday with the first four-hit contest of her career. She singled in the second and fourth, hit a solo homer in the sixth and posted an infield single in the seventh.
After finally getting retired in her first at-bat on Friday, Perez responded with hits in her last three at-bats, an infield single in the fifth, a single to left in the sixth and a bunt hit in the seventh for her first three-hit game (all her previous multi-hit contests had been two-hit games).
Perez sacrificed in her first plate appearance on Saturday and followed that up with a single in the third and a double in the fourth for her 16th multiple-hit game of the year, which his tied for fourth on the squad.
This is Perez’s first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
