OKLAHOMA CITY - As the 2015 softball season came to a close Wednesday night, one more award was bestowed upon senior Ally Carda, as she was named to the Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team.

Carda struck out 11 in 21 1/3 innings in three games at the WCWS, earning her 100th career victory on May 28 against Oregon. She struck out three in a six-hit complete game versus the Ducks. On May 30 against Auburn, with the same pure guts and will she had shown all season, Carda struck out seven in 8 2/3 innings and a career-best 196 pitches.

The senior also tied for the Bruins' highest batting average in Oklahoma City, hitting .500 with six hits in 12 at-bats with four runs scored and three walks. Carda had two singles versus Oregon, a single and a walk against Michigan (May 29) and reached in five plate appearances on three singles and two walks, while scoring twice, versus Auburn.

Wednesday's award added to the plethora of honors Carda earned during her final season in Westwood. The 2015 Pac-12 Player of the Year, the second straight season she earned that award, was also named First Team NFCA All-American, NFCA All-Region and All-Pac-12. A Top 26 finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year award, Carda was a four-time Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week in 2015 and was a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award.

She concluded her UCLA career as the all-time leader in games pitched with 178 and third all-time with 100 victories. Carda, who will turn in her Blue and Gold for some Red, White and Blue with Team USA this summer, also ranks third in innings (787.1) and fourth in strikeouts. Offensively, she is second in school history in walks (142), tied for second in hit by pitches (36) and in the UCLA Top 10 in homers (43), RBI (180), slugging (.615), on base percentage (.482) and runs scored (173).

Carda's award is the 84th All-WCWS honor for UCLA.
