Di Giulio Wins First Stop on ITA Summer Circuit

Di Giulio, who hails from nearby Newport Beach, Calif., was the top seed in the 64-player singles draw. He breezed to the final without dropping a set until he ran into second-seeded Trevor Johnson of TCU. Although he lost the first set in a tiebreaker, Di Giulio stayed strong, eventually storming back for a 6-7, 6-3, (10-8) victory to claim the crown.
Di Giulio was also seeded No. 1 in the 32-team doubles draw in Laguna Niguel, as he and partner Ibrahim Karmadzha of BYU-Hawaii reached the semifinals.
Three more ITA Summer Circuit events remain in Southern California. They are: La Verne-Upland (July 10-13), Azusa Pacific (July 18-20) and Cal State LA (July 24-27). More information about the ITA Summer Circuit can be found on the ITA Website. The complete draws from Laguna Niguel can be found HERE.
