Redlicki Advances to Round of 16 in Singles at WUG
Redlicki actually booked his spot in the round of 16 with a walkover against 14th-seeded Ronit Singh Bisht of India. Top-seeded Hyeon Chung of South Korea awaits Redlicki on Wednesday. It will be a tough test for the Bruin sophomore, as Chung is currently ranked No. 79 in the ATP World Rankings.
Redlicki and partner Austin Rapp are also still alive in the doubles draw and are scheduled to face second-seeded Joseph Salisbury and Darren Walsh of Great Britian in the round of 16 on Wednesday. Rapp and Redlicki opened up the event with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Thiago Bitencourt and Victor Cruz Morales of Brazil.
Also scheduled for Wednesday, Redlicki and Chanelle Van Nguyen will take on Sucheera Samarasinghe and Kapugamage Wickremaratne of Sri Lanka in the mixed doubles event.
