UCLA Notes
• UCLA had a first quarter blocked punt for a touchdown (DeChaun Holiday with the block, Jordan Lasley with the return), the Bruins’ first blocked punt for a TD since Phillip Ruhl returned a Kene Orjioke blocked punt for a TD vs. Nevada in 2013.
• JJ Molson’s 49-yard field goal at the end of the second quarter was a career long. His previous long was 48 yards.
• With four kickoff returns today, Ishmael Adams moved into third on UCLA’s career kickoff returns list with 68.
• With 281 passing yards today, Mike Fafaul improved his season passing total to 1,060 yards, joining Josh Rosen (1,915 yards) as the only two Bruin quarterbacks to throw for 1,000 yards in the same season.
• Wide receiver Jordan Lasley recorded 105 passing yards, his second 100-yard receiving game in the Bruins’ last three games.
• Randall Goforth’s 40-yard interception return for a touchdown was the first of his career and UCLA’s first since Ishmael Adams in returned one for 96 yards against Colorado in 2015.
• Takkarist McKinley recorded two tackles for loss to move into a tie for 11th on UCLA’s single-season list with 18.0 (tied with Jamir Miller, 1993, and Irv Eatman, 1980). McKinley also recorded a sack to move into a tie with Anthony Barr (2013) for 12th on the school’s single-season sack list with 10.0.
• UCLA totaled 163 rushing yards in the game, its second-most of the season.
• Wide receiver Theo Howard recorded season-highs for receptions (five) and receiving yards (30).
• Tight end Caleb Wilson recorded a season-high three passes.
• Running back Jalen Starks had two touchdowns (his first and second of the season) and recorded a season-best 10 rushing attempts.
