Postgame Notes - UCLA vs. #10 Washington (Oct. 6, 2018)

UCLA GAME NOTES 

UCLA saw its eight-game winning streak against Washington at the Rose Bowl come to an end. Prior to tonight, the Huskies had not won at the Rose Bowl since 1995.
 
Against the top defensive team in the country, UCLA set season-highs for pass completions (27), receiving yards (272), passing yards (272), total yards (422) and points (24). The Bruins also tied a season-high with 20 first downs and had a season-low four penalties.
 
Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson completed a career-high 27 passes on a career-high 38 attempts, finishing with a career-high total of 272 passing yards. He had a career-high two touchdown passes.
 
Running back Joshua Kelley set career-highs for both receiving yards (39) and rushing yards (125) for a combined total of 164. He is the first UCLA running back since Paul Perkins (2015) to register back-to-back 100-yard games.
 
JJ Molson moved into sole possession for No. 8 all-time in UCLA history for field goals made with 34. He has now hit 13 of his last 15 field goal attempts. Both misses over the last two seasons were 47-yard attempts (at USC in 2017; vs. Washington tonight).

Adarius Pickett finished with a career-high 16 tackles (nine solo), giving him four double-digit tackle games for the year and seven for his career.   
 
Junior linebacker Krys Barnes posted his first sack of his career early in the second quarter, resulting in a loss of nine yards.
 
Adarius Pickett collected his first interception of the season and sixth of his career late in the first quarter. 
 
Caleb Wilson caught a season-high eight passes for a total of 102 receiving yards. This was his third career game with 100 or more receiving yards.
 
UCLA’s 17-play, 90-yard drive into the end zone took 6:01 and was the longest drive (play, distance, time) of the 2018 campaign.
 
Krys Barnes logged a career-high three tackles-for-loss.  
 
JJ Molson’s second-quarter field goal miss snapped a streak of nine-straight successful attempts.
 
Theo Howard, who finished with a team-best nine receptions for 60 yards, has now caught a pass in his last 21 outings.
 
Defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa made his first career start in a Bruin uniform.
 
UCLA’s 6-play, 75-yard drive to get on the scoreboard in the second frame took just 1:58 off the clock, the Bruins’ sixth scoring drive in under two minutes this season and fastest against a top-10 opponent this season.
 
Tonight's matchup marked UCLA’s second game against a top-10 (AP) opponent in 2018 (at No. 6 Oklahoma; Sept. 8). This is the first time the Bruins faced two top-10 opponents in the same season since 2012.
