*The 87 combined points between UCLA and USC are the most in the crosstown series since the teams totaled 89 points in a 48-41 double overtime victory by UCLA in 1996.
*The winning team has scored at least 30 points in 8 of the last 9 meetings between UCLA and USC.
*The Bruins have scored points on 8 of the 11 opening drives this season.
*Joshua Kelley, who rushed for 45 yards today, is just 16 yards away from becoming the 8th UCLA running back to post back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. He currently has 984 yards in 2019 and 2,227 career rushing yards (15th all-time at UCLA).
*Kelley, who scored on a fourth quarter rush versus USC, has now rushed for at least one touchdown in six of the last seven games. He is just shy of joining the school single-season top 10 list for touchdowns with 12 in 2019. Tied for ninth are John Sciarra (1975) and Gary Beban (1965) who each had 14.
*Devin Asiasi’s 53-yard scoring reception was his fourth touchdown pass of the season. He added 36-yard and 22-yard receptions in the fourth quarter for his 12th and 13th career receptions of at least 20 yards and sixth and seventh 20-yard catches of 2019. He also registered the first 100-yard receiving game of his career, finishing with a team-high 141 yards.
*Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s total offensive yardage of 431 yards was the second-best effort by a Bruin player against the Trojans, falling just shy of Tommy Maddox’s 445-yard performance in 1990. His 367 passing yards rank as the fourth-most by a Bruin quarterback in the series, surpassed only by Josh Rosen’s 421 in 2017, Tommy Maddox’s 409 in 1990 and John Barnes’ 385 in 1992.
*Thompson-Robinson’s three scoring passes are the second-highest single-game total of his career (most was 5 at Washington State). It is the seventh multi-score passing game of 2019 for the sophomore.
*Thompson-Robinson had a career-high 44 passing attempts in the game. His previous high was 38 attempts at Washington State in 2019 and vs. Washington in 2018.
*With 26 completions today, Thompson-Robinson has moved into No. 13 on the UCLA single-season completions list with 193 this season.
*After recording 431 yards of total offense today, Thompson-Robinson has moved into 12th on UCLA’s single-season total offense list with 2,655 in 2019. Thompson-Robinson ranks 15th with 4,034 career total offense yards.
*WR Kyle Philips registered his second 100-yard receiving yards game of the season (100 at Stanford) with career-high numbers in catches (12) and yards (123) against the Trojans. He has 50 catches in the last 8 games.
*The Bruins’ total of three sacks in today’s game against the Trojans upped the season total to 27, which is the most by a UCLA team since it had 28 in 2015.
*Darnay Holmes finished with a career-high 10 tackles. He matched his previous career-best with seven in the first half of play.
*Stephan Blaylock led the team with a career-high 11 tackles.
*JJ Molson, with 300 points, rates seventh on the all-time school scoring list, one point away from No. 6 Bjorn Merten, who has 301. Molson has connected on 90 straight extra points.
