- The following true freshmen saw action versus Cincinnati – OT Sean Rhyan, LB Carl Jones, TE Mike Martinez, LB Adam Cohen.
- Elijah Gates had a career-high 10 tackles, with seven in the first half. His previous single-game best was six, last season against Arizona.
- Atonio Mafi posted a career-high nine stops. His previous best was four last season against Fresno State.
- Offensive guard Michael Alves did not play versus Cincinnati, snapping a team-high 25-game streak on consecutive starting assignments.
- The 75-yard touchdown play from Dorian Thompson-Robinson to Demetric Felton in the second quarter was the longest scoring play from scrimmage by a Bruin since Jordan Lasley scored on a 75-yard pass play from quarterback Mike Fafaul in the third quarter against Utah in 2016.
- Jay Shaw made his first career interception near the end of the first half and returned it 66 yards.
- Chase Cota had his first career touchdown reception (seven yards) in the third quarter.
- UCLA’s 218 yards of total offense yards for the game was its lowest since producing 210 yards in a 2016 setback at Colorado.
- WR Theo Howard, RB Joshua Kelley, OG Michael Alves, DB Darnay Holmes, OT Alec Anderson did not see action in the game (health issues).
