-- Each UCLA quarterback under Coach Chip Kelly has completed at least 60% of his passing attempts in their first career start – Ethan Garbers, at Utah in 2021 .614; Chase Griffin at Oregon in 2020 .612; Austin Burton, vs. Oregon State 2019 .658; Dorian Thompson-Robinson, at Oklahoma in 2018 .615; Wilton Speight, vs. Cincinnati in 2018 .667.  
-- Wide receiver Kyle Philips had seven catches against Utah to lift his career total to 143 catches and elevate him into the UCLA career top-10 list for receptions. He is now No. 9 on the all-time list and also has made a reception in each of the last 26 games he has played in.
-- Quarterback Ethan Garbers connected with tight end Michael Ezeike for his first career touchdown pass in the third quarter of the game. It was Ezeike’s first scoring catch of the season and his third career scoring grab.
-- Ethan Garbers’ 44 passing attempts at Utah are the most by a Bruin quarterback in his first start since Tommy Maddox attempted 47 passes at Michigan in 1990. His 265 passing yards are the most by a UCLA quarterback in his first start since Josh Rosen threw for 350 against Virginia in 2015.
-- Tight End Greg Dulcich caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season in the fourth quarter. It was his 10th career scoring reception. Dulcich has a touchdown catch in three of the last four games this season.
-- Safety Quentin Lake had a season-high nine tackles against Utah. His previous season high was seven stops against LSU. His career-high is 10 against USC in 2020.
-- Linebacker Mitchell Agude’s seven tackles at Utah was a career-best. His season-high and previous career-best had been six stops against LSU.
-- Linebacker Ale Kaho’s seven tackles were a career-high total. His previous best had been six against Oregon earlier this season.
 
Team Notes
-- UCLA now leads the all-time series 11-8 after tonight’s 44-24 Utah victory. The last Bruin win against Utah was in 2015, 17-9, in Salt Lake City.
-- Tonight’s loss at Utah snaps UCLA’s four game Pac-12 road win streak. The four game conference road win streak was the longest by a Bruin team since it won seven straight conference road matchups in a stretch from 2013-15.
-- The 28 points scored by Utah in the first half was the most by an Bruin opponent this season – previous high was 24 by Arizona State.
-- UCLA made good on 7 of 9 fourth down conversion attempts against Utah. For the season, the Bruins are now 20-29 on fourth down.
-- UCLA has at least one rushing TD in each of the last 18 games – last game without one was in 2019 vs. Utah.
