*UCLA earned its sixth win of the season tonight and becomes bowl eligible with the win.
*UCLA has given up just 10 touchdowns (one rushing) on the season.
*UCLA is now 20-1 under head coach Chip Kelly when holding teams under 20 points in a game.
*With its 218 rushing yards tonight against Colorado, UCLA has now rushed for at least 200 yards five times this season. UCLA is 26-7 under head coach Chip Kelly when it rushes for at least 200 yards in a game.
*Colorado ran for 38 yards in tonight’s game. This is UCLA’s sixth game this season holding the opponent to less than 100 yards rushing.
*UCLA has held seven opponents to under 20 points this season. The last time a Bruin team held as many as seven opponents to less than 20 points was in the 2006 season.
*UCLA’s four turnovers in tonight’s game are the most since the Bruins had five turnovers in last year’s Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl game against Pittsburgh.
*Colorado, with a field goal, became just the second team this season to score on its initial drive of the game against UCLA. Oregon State also tallied a field goal earlier this season.
*The Colorado game was Ethan Garbers’ fourth career start and his third of the 2023 season (also Coastal Carolina, Stanford). Garbers’ passing total of 269 yards is a career-best mark. His previous high was 265 in a 2021 game at Utah.
*Moliki Matavao’s 26-yard scoring reception in the third quarter was his seventh catch of the year of at least 20 yards this season. It was his second touchdown catch of the season (last week at Stanford – 20 yards).
*Logan Loya gained 111 yards on his seven receptions against Colorado. The 111 receiving yards is a career-best total for Loya. His previous game high for receiving yards was 77 yards earlier this season at San Diego State. The seven receptions is also a new career best mark (had six catches earlier this season against Washington State).
*Carson Steele’s second-quarter TD reception on a three-yard pass from Ethan Garbers was his second of the season (also vs. Coastal Carolina on a 14-yard pass from Dante Moore) and his eighth touchdown of the season.
*Collin Schlee scored his third touchdown of the season on a fourth-quarter run. He had two rushing scores against North Carolina Central. Schlee had eight rushing scores while playing at Kent State in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
*T.J. Harden scored his fifth rushing TD of the season on his three-yard fourth-quarter run.
*Laiatu Latu, after his first quarter sack tonight, has at least 0.5 sacks in six of this season’s eight games. Last season, he recorded at least a half sack in eight of the 13 contests in 2022. Latu finished with three sacks against Colorado and now has 20.0 career sacks and ranks tied for 10th with Mark Whalen (1982-85) on the UCLA career list.
*J.Michael Sturdivant’s first-half reception upped his consecutive games with a catch streak to 20 (8g UCLA, 12g Cal).
*Tonight’s crowd of 71,343 marks the highest home attendance by a Pac-12 team this season.
