- As a team, UCLA registered season highs in points (35), touchdowns (five), and total offense (478 yards) on Saturday.
- QB Ethan Garbers had the best statistical game of his career, setting single-game career highs in passing yards (383), passing touchdowns (four), and completion percentage (32-38, 84%). He also completed the longest pass of his career (67 yards) and made the longest rush of his career (49 yards), both for touchdowns.
- Garbers became the first Bruin QB to pass for 300+ yards, or throw four TD passes, or account for five total TDs in a game since 2022 (Dorian Thompson-Robinson accomplished all three against USC).
- Both RB Keegan Jones (114) and TE Moliki Matavao (104) finished with over 100 yards receiving. It’s the first time the Bruins have had a pair of 100+ yard receivers in the same game since 2021 (Kyle Philips, Kam Brown vs. Fresno State).
- Garbers’s completion percentage (.842) was fifth-highest in UCLA single-game history since 1980. The last time a Bruin QB had a higher completion percentage was Oct. 13, 2018 at California (Dorian Thompson-Robinson; 13-15, .866).
- Garbers is the second Bruin QB in program history to complete at least 30 passes with a completion percentage of 80% or higher (Dorian Thompson-Robinson vs. USC in 2022; 30-36, .833).
- The 49-yard rush for Garbers more than doubled UCLA’s previous rushing long for the season (Keegan Jones, 22 yards).
- It was Garbers’s first rushing touchdown of the season and third of his career (first since 2022).
- Garbers’s 32 completions were the most by a Bruin QB since Dorian Thompson-Robinson also had 32 against Bowling Green in 2022.
- Garbers threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns in the first half alone. It was his most passing yards in a single half for his career, and matched a career-high for passing TDs in a single half.
- LB Carson Schwesinger led UCLA with 10 tackles. He has led UCLA in tackles in six of seven games this season. He’s also posted double-digit tackles in five straight games, the first Bruin to do since Eric Kendricks in 2014.
- Garbers and RB Keegan Jones connected on a 67-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. It was the longest pass completion of Garbers’s career, and longest pass reception of Jones’s career.
- Jones’s TD catch was his first of the year, and fifth of his career (first since 2022). He also set a career high with 114 receiving yards (previously: 68 vs. Pittsburgh, 2022). He became the third Bruin this season to record 100+ receiving yards in a game (Rico Flores, J.Michael Sturdivant).
- TE Moliki Matavao registered career-highs in receptions (6) and receiving yards (104). Three of his catches went for 20+ yards.
- WR Titus Mokiao-Atimalala recorded a career-high four receptions for 54 yards.
- TE Bryce Pierre made his first start as a Bruin, and fifth of his career (he made four starts last year at Arizona State). He caught three passes for 20 yards.
- DB Bryan Addison intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter, giving the team lead in picks for the season (2).
- UCLA scored first for the second consecutive week, and led at halftime for the second consecutive week.
- UCLA’s 21 points in the first half were the team’s most in any half so far this season.
