Jared Cayden Karros was born in 2000 to parents Eric and Trish at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center โฆ Has a younger brother, Kyle, and an older sister, Mikah โฆ Father is former UCLA and Los Angeles Dodgers star Eric Karros; Eric hit .415 with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs as the Bruinsโ starting first baseman in 1988 before going on to a 13-year professional career that saw him record a .268/.325/.454 slash line with 284 home runs โฆ Chose to attend UCLA because โI wanted to challenge myself physically and academically, also because UCLA has one of the best baseball programs in the countryโ โฆ Describes throwing a no-hitter against Gahr High School as his top pre-UCLA athletic thrill โฆ Admires Justin Verlander and Jacob DeGrom โฆ In his free time, enjoys surfing and being in water.
