Delivered one of the most electric relief seasons in the Big Ten, making 34 appearances and finishing 3-0 with a 3.19 ERA, 57 strikeouts, and 14 saves across 31.0 innings…After a rocky outing on Feb. 15, rebounded immediately and allowed just three earned runs over his next 21 appearances…Recorded his first win on Mar. 3 vs. Cal State Fullerton with a scoreless inning and two strikeouts…Began a dominant stretch on Mar. 17 vs. Pepperdine, converting his first save and launching a run of 10 straight scoreless outings from Mar. 17-Apr. 10…Produced clean innings against Maryland, LMU, Iowa, and USC…Struck out multiple batters in 20 different outings, highlighted by three-strikeout frames at Rutgers (Apr. 12), UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 14), Minnesota (Apr. 19), and Washington (May 15)…Earned his third win on May 15 at Washington after 1.2 scoreless innings with three strikeouts…Held opponents to just 15 hits over his final 22.2 innings and allowed only five extra-base hits all season…Finished with a strikeout rate of 16.5 K/9, one of the highest among national relievers.
