Earned four letters at Duke in Durham, N.C., competing exclusively in the pole vault ... Helped the Blue Devils to a team championships at the 2024 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships ... Also won a team title at the 2021 ACC Indoor Championships, and helped Duke to a runner-up result at the 2022 Outdoor ACCs ... Qualified for NCAA East Regionals in both 2023 and 2024 ... Had a high clearance of 4.30m (14-1.25) at Duke, accomplished at the 2023 Duke Invitational ... Totaled three event wins during her time with the Blue Devils ... Was a fixture in both the Outdoor and Indoor ACC Championships, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the 2024 ACC Indoor Championships (4.13m / 13-6.5) ... Paige Alexis Sommers was born in 2003 in Thousand Oaks, Calif. to parents John and Jennifer ... Has a younger brother, Cade, who also vaults at UCLA ... Has an older sister, Brooke ... Earned a B.A. in sociology at Duke, with a minor in medical sociology and a certificate in markets and management studies ...ย Participating in the marketing certificate program at UCLA ... Aspires to compete professionally in the pole vault, while working in the marketing or sports industries ... Decided to attend UCLA because of "the amazing academics and athletics. Coach Tate Curran was a major factor, as well as growing up in a Bruin household since both my parents went here" ... Hobbies and interests outside of track include spending time with family, waterskiing, snow skiing, creating DIY crafts, and going on outdoors adventures around California ... Her father, John, was a pole vaulter at UCLA from 1989-1994 and was coached by Anthony Curran, father of current UCLA pole vault coach Tate Curran ...
