Did not compete during the indoor campaign… Made his outdoor debut at the Ben Brown Invite, placing fifth in the discus event (55.56m)… Claimed third at the Rafer Johnson-Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational… Also threw shot put at the USC Dual Meet, placing fifth in the event… Placed 17th in the Conference and 36th in the west region in the discus throw.
2023
Did not compete for the Bruins during the indoor season… Appeared in a UCLA uniform for the first time at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 10, taking fifth in the discus with his 54.20m (177-10) throw… Threw in eight discus competitions and one shot put event during the season… Claimed third in the discus and fourth in the shot put at the USC Dual Meet, scoring points in the discus en route to an 88-70 UCLA win over the rival Trojans… Threw a season-best mark 56.12m (184-01) in the discus to place ninth in the Conference at the Pac-12 Championships… Finished 25th in the west region at the 2023 NCAA West Prelims.
