Freshman Mallory LaBreche and redshirt junior Ensley Alden placed 13th at the 2025 AVCA Fall Pairs National Championship on Nov. 9. The duo opened with a three-set win (18-21, 21-17, 15-7) in the first round over North Alabama's Audrey Gauthier and Selma Robinson. The 18th-seeded duo advanced in the winner's bracket after a 21-17, 21-17 upset win over TCU's 15th-seeded pair of Sofia Izuzquiza and Stacy Reeves. They fell to second-seeded Avery Jackson and Brooke Rockwell of Stanford in a hard-fought three-setter, 18-21, 21-16, 12-15. They dropped another three-set heartbreaker to Cal Poly's Isabella Martinez and Logan Walter, 21-17, 19-21, 13-15. That landed them in the 13th-place bracket where they defeated Lily Dee Davis and Madison White of Texas, 21-18, 21-19. The Bruin tandem finished in a tie with LMU's Anna Pelloia and Magdalena Rabitsch, as the match was never played out.
