Liu competed in The Women’s Amateur Championship at Muirfield in Scotland from June 22-27, shooting a 5-over 147 (74-73) and finishing one stroke outside the match-play field … also competed at the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship at The Toronto Golf Club from July 21-24, recording a 16-over 158 (80-78) over two rounds.

Liu competed in the 125th U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort from Aug. 4-10, missing the cut for match play with a 7-over 151 (75-76) … shared medalist honors after shooting a 3-under 70 in her qualifier at Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif.
2024-25
Liu competed in eight stroke-play tournaments, making seven starts and playing 25 rounds during her debut season in Westwood … led UCLA with a 73.28 scoring average … was UCLA’s top finisher in four tournaments, including the NCAA Charlottesville Regional and NCAA Championships … led the team with four top-20 finishes and two top-10 finishes … tied for the team lead with seven rounds under par … carded two rounds in the 60s … placed eighth at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional with a 1-over 214 (68-70-76) from May 5-7 … matched her season-low 18-hole score with a 3-under 68 in the opening round of the NCAA regional … tied for 24th at the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad with a 2-over 290 (71-74-73-72) from May 16-21 … recorded her best finish of the season at the Bruin Wave Invitational, placing third with a 2-over 217 (68-73-77) from Feb. 24-25 … tied for 11th at the PING/ASU Invitational with a season-best 54-hole score of 2-under 214 (70-73-71) from March 28-30 … halved her only singles match against USC’s Jasmine Koo at the Battle for the Bell on March 17 … 20/22 counting rounds.

Liu attended three high schools, completing the final year of her prep career at Pacific Academy (Irvine, Calif.) … spent her freshman year and part of her sophomore year at San Joaquin High School before attending Santa Margarita Catholic for her junior year … earned Rolex Junior All-America honorable mention in 2021 and 2022 … starred on a Santa Margarita Catholic team that enjoyed the most successful season in program history in 2022 … helped the team sweep the CIF state and CIF Southern California Regional championships while also claiming both individual titles … won the 2022 CIF state individual title at San Gabriel Country Club by five strokes with a 5-under 67 … qualified for four consecutive U.S. Women’s Amateurs from 2019-22 … tied for 16th during stroke play at the 122nd U.S. Women’s Amateur at Chambers Bay with a 3-under 143 (68-75) … competed in the seventh U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Puerto Rico in 2022, reaching the quarterfinals with partner Charissa Shang of Harvard … tied for 21st during stroke play with an even-par 144 (72-72) and advanced to the round of 32 in her first U.S. Women’s Amateur appearance at Old Waverly Golf Club in 2019 at age 14 … also competed in the 120th and 121st U.S. Women’s Amateurs … won five AJGA events … became the youngest winner of the Toyota Tour Cup Championship, a Southern California PGA Junior Tour event, at age 12 in 2017.
