Lee competed in two of the world’s premier amateur championships … shot a 5-over 147 (75-72) at The Women’s Amateur Championship at Muirfield in Scotland from June 22-27, finishing one stroke outside the match-play field … made her U.S. Women’s Amateur debut at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn., from Aug. 4-9, recording a 6-over 150 (75-75) during stroke play.

Lee prepped at the Collegiate Academy of Seoul in South Korea … one of the most accomplished amateurs from South Korea, with 51 junior victories worldwide before signing with Baylor … at age 12 in 2019, claimed individual and team medals for South Korea at the Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club as the youngest competitor in the 76-player field … made her debut at the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur in March 2022, finishing four strokes outside the cut line … became the second 15-year-old to qualify for the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open after shooting a 139 in her qualifier at Dream Park Country Club in the Republic of Korea … won the 33rd Seoul Association President’s Golf Cup in 2022 … competed in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, one of junior golf’s most coveted events, in both 2022 and 2023.

Born Jeonghyun (Jen) Lee in Busan, South Korea … parents are Suyim Ji and Kihi Lee … favorite courses she has played are Augusta National Golf Club (Augusta, Ga.) and Sage Valley Golf Club (Graniteville, S.C.) … chose UCLA because “it provides excellent facilities, great coaches and a chance to compete at the highest level in collegiate golf” … sociology major.
