Rowed in the novice eight through the first half of the season...rowed five seat in early-season dual-meet wins over Loyola Marymount (March 5) and San Diego State (March 13)...rowed seven seat in the N8+ against California (March 27) and Stanford (March 28), leading UCLA to first-place finishes...rowed seven seat in the N8+ both days of the San Diego Crew Classic (April 2-3).
High School
Attended St. Francis High School for three years and Homestead High School for one year...was a three-year varsity swimming and one-year varsity cross country letterwinner...as a varsity swimmer, posted All-America qualifying time in the 100-meter freestyle...earned a fourth-place finish in the Central Coast Section 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter freestyle in 2007...led St. Francis to the WCAL title in 2007, posting a first-place time in the 50-freestyle and 100-freestyle...set the Pacific Zone record in the 50-meter backstroke.
