Bob Park joined the UCLA Athletics Department November 1997 and is currently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Information Technology, a title he has held since 2011.
His duties include management of technical operations and maintenance of networking and computing hardware and software including the technical services supporting events on-campus and off-campus. Main areas of focus include network management and security, strategic planning and capital investment, administration, and the day to day management of IT personnel.ย As a member of the departmentโs Senior Staff, he has been a key department advisor and helped architect and implement major IT projects in Messaging and Directory Services, Document Management Services, Mobile Application Development, Server Virtualization using On-Premise and Cloud Environments, Network Security Hardening via Cisco and PaloAlto security best-practices, Backup and Disaster Recovery Services, and Digital Signage from multiple vendors.ย
During his tenure at UCLA, Park progressively advanced from his early technical support role to eventually join the departmentโs Senior Staff.ย He has participated in various technology related campus initiatives and completed the UCLA Professional Development Program and NCAA Leadership Institute.ย In addition, Bob serves an advisory role on the Southern California Large Venue IT Mangers Group.
Park is a 1996 graduate of UCLA and earned a Masters of Business Administration in 2013 from UCLAโs Anderson School of Management. He and his wife, Stacy have three children (Jeremy, Kearney, and Ellis) and currently reside in Westchester, CA.
