Chris Carter was named to UCLA Head Football Coach DeShaun Fosterโs initial recruiting staff as assistant general manager of recruiting and personnel in March 2024.
Carter spent parts of seven years on NFL rosters before transitioning to off-field roles in collegiate and professional football. He most recently served as USCโs director of player development after working in the role of defensive recruiting analyst at Oklahoma.

Carter played in 75 regular-season games. He served on the NFLPA Board of Player Representatives while with the Ravens and was a team captain in Indianapolis.

He was tabbed the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 after totaling 11 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss. Carter made the All-WAC first team in 2009 and 2010.
He earned his bachelorโs degree in communication and media studies from Fresno State in 2011 and a masterโs in business administration from Miami (FL) in 2017. Carter was also part of the NFL Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Carterโs brother, David, starred on the gridiron for UCLA from 2007-2010. David Carter was voted the co-defensive winner of UCLAโs Captain Don Brown Memorial Award for Most Improved Player in 2009. He was a sixth-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2011 and saw action in 35 games for Arizona and the Dallas Cowboys through 2013.
