Furthermore, Iacoi serves as a main point of contact for legal counsel and coach representatives in contract negotiations, always adhering to University of California parameters.
Before joining UCLA, Iacoi spent over 12 years at Boston College, beginning as an undergraduate student worker in the Department of Athletics before being hired full-time as a Fiscal Coordinator in 2001. He steadily advanced through the department, eventually being named Business Manager in 2006 and Assistant Athletic Director, Business Operations in 2010. During his time at Boston College, he was the primary financial contact for the department, overseeing long-term forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial and travel operations. Iacoi also served as the Assistant Tournament Manager for the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional and worked for 15 years as a day of game employee for the Boston Red Sox Security and Emergency Management staff.
An active member of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA), Iacoi served on its Executive Committee from 2011 to 2016, including a term as the Association’s President during the 2014-15 year. In 2017 he was honored as CABMA’s Manager of the Year by his peers. Iacoi has represented UCLA on the Rose Bowl Management Committee and was selected as a member of the College AD’s 2019 Next Up class. He has participated in webinars and podcasts with the NCAA, AthleticDirectorU, Lead1, CABMA, and other organizations.
A native of Westerly, Rhode Island, Iacoi earned his Bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 2001 and his Master of Business Administration from BC's Carroll School of Management in 2005. He and his wife, Kate, along with their sons, reside in the Los Angeles area.
