Corey Miller was announced as Director of Speed and Movement on February 1, 2022 after spending the previous two seasons as the Director of Football Sports Performance at the University of Mississippi. His arrival is coming off of a 10-2 season and Sugar Bowl appearance as a part of Lane Kiffinโs, who previously recruited Miller to Tennessee, strength and conditioning staff.
Miller spent three seasons with the University of South Carolina, under Head Football Coach Will Muschamp and Strength Coach Jeff Dillman, as Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning prior to arriving at the University of Mississippi. This opportunity allowed him to work with and mentor a handful of athletes, currently showcasing their talents in the NFL, as they obtained the 2018 Outback Bowl Championship.
Prior to arriving at the University of South Carolina, Miller began his career in the private sector as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach of D1 Sports Training of Knoxville, Tennessee. This opportunity was awarded after spending a year overseas in Rome, Italy as the Defensive Line Player-Coach for the Italian Football League, then named, Lazio Marines.
Miller, a 2014 letterman of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, is the current single-game sack record holder (4.5 against Kentucky in 2013). He also holds the RSCC and CSCS certifications from the NSCA and is currently enrolled in a Sport Psychology Masterโs program.
