Derek Moos serves as the Associate Athletics Director for Equipment Operations. Having joined the Bruins in 2022 Moos oversees the Equipment Department while handling the day-to-day needs of the Women’s Soccer and Softball programs. Moos also deals directly with both the Nike/Jumpman brands to properly outfit all student-athletes and staff members.
A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Moos served as their Director of Baseball Operations from 2012-2015. In that role, Moos was responsible for organizing donor/alumni events and securing a team sponsorship deal with Easton Sporting Goods. He would go on to work with the Eastern Michigan Football program from 2015-2017, servicing the day-to-day equipment needs of the offense and Coach Kalen DeBoer.
After leaving Eastern Michigan, Moos would go on to work at the University of Pittsburgh from 2017-2021. He served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Operations and played an integral role in their 2018 re-brand. Moos worked directly with the Panthers Football Program and worked closely with the Athletic Coast Conference Return-to-Play Committee in 2020.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Moos obtained a bachelors of business administration and masters in sport management, from Eastern Michigan. Moos is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
