Sandra Sims serves as the Human Resources Business Partner for UCLA Athletics Department specializing in employee & labor relations related matters. Sims joined UCLA Athletics in 2016 and began her current role in June 2024. She is responsible for consulting and guiding staff on HR matters including performance management, investigations, reasonable accommodations, worker’s compensation, and professional development training.

For over 15 year, Sandra has served as a veteran HR professional for higher education institutions, corporate entities, and government agencies. Over the years. Sim’s HR role has included supervision of HR specialists and analysts, recruitment, onboarding, leave-related matters, investigations, as well as providing professional development and skill building training to employees.

Sims graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and earned a juris doctorate degree from UC Hastings College of Law. As a native of Los Angeles, CA and a UCLA Alumni, Sandra enjoys attending UCLA sports events at the Rose Bowl and Pauley Pavilion.
