Trey Lane enters his first season as a recruiting analyst for the UCLA football program in 2026.
He arrives in Westwood after spending the 2025 season at James Madison. Under head coach Bob Chesney as an assistant director of player personnel, he helped the Dukes assemble a roster that reached the College Football Playoff and win the Sun Belt Championship for the first time in program history.
Prior to James Madison, Lane worked as a data scout for six months for a stats analytics company Sports Info Solutions.
Lane graduated from Ohio State University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management.
