Zuzanna Czyznielewska joined the Athletic Performance staff in September of 2024. Prior to UCLA she spent one year as Strength and Conditioning Coach at Middle Tennessee State University. Her primary role was to design and implement the strength and conditioning program for the women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, and the men’s and women’s cross country. Prior to MTSU, she served as a Strength and Conditioning intern at University of Wisconsin – Madison for all of the Olympic Sports.
From 2020 to 2022, Zuzanna served as a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Polish Junior National Volleyball Teams: U17, U18, U19, U20 and competed with these teams on the international stage at: U19 Volleyball European Championships in Macedonia (2022), European Youth Olympic Festival in Slovakia (2022), U18 Volleyball World Championships in Mexico (2021), U20 World Championships in Belgium and Netherlands (2021). While also served as a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Polish Volleyball Federation Junior’s Team SMS PZPS Szczyrk.
Czyznielewska began her career in athletics at Strength and Conditioning Education Center - SCEC, Gdynia, Poland as a Strength & Conditioning Coach.
A former professional and national team volleyball player, Zuzanna was a member of the Polish Women’s National Team from 2009-2012. As a professional, Czyznielewska competed for seven years at Polish Volleyball Professional League with clubs: KS “Palac” Bydgoszcz, Grot Budowlani Lódz and KSZO Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski.
Zuzanna received her Bachelor of Physical Education/Exercise Science from Wyzsza Szkola Gospodarki University, Bydgoszcz, Poland and earned her Master of Physical Education/Exercise Science from Wyzsza Szkola Gospodarki University, Bydgoszcz, Poland. From 2022 she is also a Ph.D. candidate at University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czechia where she published her first Original Research Article.
Czyznielewska is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.
