UCLA has been a NCAA Division I powerhouse in all collegiate sports for the past three decades. Virtually every sport in the program has competed for a NCAA title and the Bruins have won NCAA Championships in as many sports as any college in the nation.
Scholarships are awarded in all 21 sports based on the following main criteria: 1) academic admissibility to UCLA-combination of HS grades and test scores (SAT/ACT) over the NCAA Clearing House limits, 2) athletic ability compared to others in your sport on both a national and international scale where applicable, 3) ability to immediately contribute to the Bruin program in your first year. Walk-on athletes are also accepted, based on the same criteria, with the possibility of earning an athletic scholarship in the future based on contributions to the success of the Bruin team.
