Senior midfielder Jimmy Frazelle (Folsom, CA/Bella Vista HS) of the UCLA Men's Soccer Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 14-20.
Frazelle scored the game-winning goal 1:47 into overtime to lead UCLA to a 1-0 upset victory over top-ranked Stanford on Friday. The goal was his third game-winning goal of the season and second in as many games. He has four goals this year, and two of them have come in sudden-death overtime. UCLA's win over Stanford improved its record against No. 1 teams to 4-1-1 since 1998, and the Bruins remain unbeaten against the Cardinal in the last four games.
This is Frazelle's first UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and his career.
