Two members of the No. 15 UCLA women's rowing team were selected to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association 2005 All-West Region team. Senior Kristin Bixel was selected to be part of the first team, and junior Liz Pallas-Jacobs was selected for the second team.
The awards, which are presented by Pocock, recognize the outstanding achievements of female rowers and coxswains this season.
Both Bixel and Pallas-Jacobs are members of the varsity eight crew that will be traveling to Sacramento for the NCAA Championships, held May 27-29. This is the first year that the Bruins, as a UCLA varsity sport, have been selected to compete at the Championships.
