The most prolific golf champion in UCLA history has gone on to a successful career on the PGA Tour. While at UCLA, Pavin represented the United States in the 1981 Walker Cup matches and the Maccabiah Games in Tel Aviv. After graduation, he quickly made his mark as a pro, earning PGA rookie of the year honors in 1984. He went on to win 14 tournaments in the next dozen years, including the U.S. Open in 1995, and he has played on three U.S. Ryder Cup teams. He was the leading money winner and the PGA player of the year in 1991.
