Donn Moomaw

Donn Moomaw was one of the finest two-way players in UCLA history and the Bruins' first two-time All-America football player when he starred at center and linebacker in the early 1950s. He was the first round draft choice of the Los Angeles Rams in 1953. He was inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1973. A minister for 29 years at Bel Air Presbyterian Church until 1993, Moomaw was the pastor to former President Ronald Reagan. He gave the invocation at President Reagan's inauguration in 1981. When Reagan was governor of California in 1968, he appointed Moomaw to the State Board of Education.
Moomaw, also a member of the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame, was a charter member of the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1984.
