Jack Myers

Jack Myers was an outstanding athlete who excelled at just about anything that interested him. He was a baseball and football star at UCLA, then had a four-year career as a fullback and linebacker for the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Eagles' NFL champions in 1948 and 1949. Myers' active and varied pursuits included stints as the UCLA freshman baseball coach, as an assistant coach for the Rams and 49ers and as an NFL scout, then as head coach and athletic director at the University of the Pacific (1953-1961).
In 1983, he was a charter inductee in the Ventura and UOP Hall of Fame. He retired from UOP in 1987. Myers was inducted into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992.
