Karch Kiraly

Indoors or outdoors, Karch Kiraly is one of the best players in volleyball history. After leading UCLA to three national championships between 1979 and 1982, Kiraly went on to play for a pair of gold-medal winning U.S. volleyball teams at the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games. He was named the "Best Player in the World" by FIVB in 1986 and 1988. In 1996, Kiraly captured his third gold medal when he and partner Kent Steffes (who also attended UCLA) won the first beach volleyball tournament in Olympic history. Kiraly has won more than 100 beach tournaments in his career.
