TUCSON, Ariz. - Right fielder Shelley Duncan hit a third-inning grand slam, tying the Arizona freshman record for home runs, and leading the Cats to an 8-7 win over UCLA here Sunday afternoon.

Arizona, which took two of three games in the first conference series for both schools, improved to 18-9. UCLA fell to 15-15.

Duncan's homer capped a six-run rally and gave the Cats the lead for good. His 10th long ball of the year tied Dave Shermet's 1985 school mark.

Junior left-hander Tony Milo worked 4.0 innings of relief without allowing an earned run to pick up his first save of the season.

Senior catcher Jason Green went 3-for-4 for UCLA with a pair of runs and two RBI.
