UCLA junior Lena Degteva has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Gymnast of the Week for March 3-8.

Degteva, a junior from Mississauga, Ontario, led the Bruins to their third consecutive team title in the Bruin Classic, featuring California, Kentucky and Michigan State.

Winning the all-around title with a a career-high, meet record and team season-best 39.425, Degteva also led a UCLA sweep of the individual events by placing first on the uneven bars (season-high 9.900) and floor exercise (career-high 9.950). She also placed fourth on beam (9.750) and fifth on vault (9.825).

The honor is Degteva's first of her career, and the second for a Bruin this season. Kiralee Hayashi previously won Feb. 9.
