UCLA and the NCAA will host the Gymnastics Youth Education Through Sports (YES) clinic Saturday, April 18, 1998 in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships.

The clinic will be conducted at UCLA's John Wooden Center at no cost to the participants from 7:30 am-2:30 pm. Boys and girls ages 10-18 are eligible to participate. Registration forms are available by calling Julie Chiu at the UCLA Athletic Department (310/206-3550).

Registration is limited to ensure that group instruction sessions are small; therefore, early enrollment is strongly suggested. Registration will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is April 6.

In addition to the clinic, parents will have the opportunity to discuss with clinic staff issues regarding youth sports such as coaching, nutrition, sportsmanship and injury prevention. Additional topics relative to recruiting and admission requirements for collegiate student-athletes also will be discussed.

Each enrolled YES clinic participant will receive one general admission ticket to attend the NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship at 7:30 pm, Saturday, April 18, as well as a clinic t-shirt and printed materials regarding gymnastics skill development and enrichment topics.
