WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- UCLA sophomore Heidi Moneymaker has been named the Pacific- 10 Conference Gymnast of the Week, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Moneymaker led No. 5 UCLA to a 195.300 to 188.700 dual meet victory over California last Friday. The sophomore from Santa Rosa, CA tied her career-high of 39.375 in winning the all-around competition. She also tied her career-high on the floor with a winning score of 9.925 and took top honors on bars with a score of 9.875. Moneymaker rounded out the evening by placing second on beam (9.850) and third on vault (9.725). Her season average on bars (9.919) ranks her as the No. 2 bars performer in the nation.

This is Moneymaker's first such honor, and UCLA's second consecutive this season. Stella Umeh was last week's Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week.
