SAN DIEGO - Maylana Martin scored 19 points to lead seven UCLA players in double figures as the No. 8 Bruins pulled away in the second half to top San Diego State 104-56 Friday night.

The victory gave the Bruins (6-2) their longest winning streak since 1992-93, when they won seven straight.

UCLA, which led 44-36 at halftime, scored the first 12 points in the second half, with Erica Gomez getting eight of her 10.

Gomez also had 11 assists to reach double figures for the fifth time in six games.

Kelly Rushford, a freshman making her first start, scored 13 points to lead the Aztecs (2-6), who shot just 29 percent from the field (19-of-65).

Martin went 6-of-8 from the field and pulled down nine rebounds in only 18 minutes. Janae Hubbard added 10 points and 12 rebounds for UCLA, while reserves LaCresha Flannigan and Carly Funicello each scored 14 points.

In the first half, the Bruins used an 11-1 surge to take their biggest lead of the half 27-11 with 9:50 left. Included in that run were the only four points of the half by Funicello.

Carly Gillette and Sophia Sledge hit consecutive 3-pointers to pull the Aztecs to 40-36 with 1:20 before halftime.
