LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) - Betty Lennox scored 31 points and Tamicha Jackson added 20 as No. 4 Louisiana Tech broke away early and beat No. 5 UCLA 82-64 Sunday in the second game of the Honda Elite 4 Holiday Classic.
Lennox hit a 3-pointer that gave Tech a 9-6 lead with 16:43 remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs led the rest of the way, pulling away to a 48-17 edge late in the first half.
Lennox made 5-of-12 3-point attempts and had team-highs of eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
A pair of free throws by Jackson gave Louisiana Tech a 70-45 lead with 5:41 remaining in the game. UCLA used a 15-6 run to trim Tech's lead to 76-60.
UCLA held a 47-42 rebounding edge and was led by Maylana Martin with 17 points and eight rebounds. Michelle Greco scored 14 points.
No other UCLA player scored in double figures as the Bruins struggled with a 37.5 shooting percentage and were 0-for-9 on 3-point attempts.
Louisiana Tech led 51-23 at the half, as UCLA shot 26.7 percent from the field. Tech shot 56.1 percent, with Lennox scoring 16 and Jackson adding 14 before the break.
UCLA also committed 14 first-half turnovers.
