Bruins Win 22nd Annual Kilgour Cup by Sweeping Stanford

Third-ranked UCLA extended its current winning streak to nine matches by defeating No.15 Stanford 3-0 before 1,921 in 75 minutes at Pauley Pavilion in the 22nd Annual Kilgour Cup.
The 15-3, 15-3, 15-9 victory snapped the Bruins three-match losing streak to the Cardinal and improved UCLAs record to 20-6 overall and 14-5 in league play. The Bruins will finish third in the MPSF Mountain Division and most likely will travel to Hawaii next week for a first round MPSF playoff match against the Rainbows.
Seniors Danny Farmer and Fred Robins, playing in their final regular season home match, led the Bruins with 12 kills apiece. Junior All-American Adam Naeve added 11 kills and led UCLA with seven block assists. Senior Court Young started at setter for the Bruins and distributed 14 set assists in Game 1.
The Bruins outhit the Cardinal .396-.079, outblocked them 9.0-5.5 and outserved them four aces to one. UCLA now leads the series against Stanford, 46-7.
Patrick Klein led the Cardinal (10-11, 7-10) with 17 kills.
