Bruins Fall to No. 5 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. - The fifth-ranked Stanford women's tennis team topped No. 6 UCLA 7-1 this afternoon at Taube Family Tennis Stadium. Stanford improves to 16-2 overall, 6-1 in the Pac-10. The Bruins fall to 14-4, 2-2 in league play.
The Cardinal secured the team victory with Lauren Kalvaria's come-from-behind, three-set win at No. 4 singles. At No. 3 doubles, Jennifer Heiser and Keiko Tokuda were down 4-2 in the tie-breaker, but scored five straight points to give Stanford both victories in doubles.
Stanford will close out its home season with No. 10 USC tomorrow afternoon. Matches will begin at Taube Family Tennis Stadium at noon.
